Gymnastic Training Weekend

Following the success of our summer Groundwork Clinics, we invite you to join us at Home Farm (CV35 9HJ) on 29th & 30th October for our next Gymnastic Training weekend.

The focus of the weekend is to improve your knowledge of the elements required to SAFELY train YOUR horse ‘gymnastically’. I aim to enable you to identify/feel where is ‘enough’, and learn that less is more than enough when it comes to postural muscles!

We will aim to cover:

• Appropriate use of transitions

• Appropriate use of lateral work

• Appropriate use of proprioceptive work

• Appropriate strength & conditioning work

Suitable for all levels, the weekend will consist of:

• 1 shared Groundwork Training session

• 1 shared Ground Pole-work Training session *

• 1 individual Riding session *

• 2 theory sessions **

• Overnight Corral included

*Suitable pole exercises only; no Christmas tree shapes or other fancy inappropriate nonsense. Poles will be omitted if deemed inappropriate on the day.

**Don’t worry, they won’t be boring!
